Ceragon Networks has agreed to supply wireless backhaul services to Hutchinson 3 group over the next three years.
Hutchinson 3 is one of largest providers of 3G mobile communication services.
Ceragon stated that the contract will help Hutchinson build and enhance its current network capacity as well as help the company meet the high demand for multimedia and data services throughout multiple national mobile networks.
According to the terms of the contract, Hutchinson will receiver Ceragon’s Ethernet systems such as the FibeAir 1p-10 platform that will help Hutchinson make the migration switch from TDM to IP.
The advantage of the FibeAir solution is that it allows for TDM and Ethernet networking to be used from a single integrated backhaul mobile platform since it utilises one RF unit across spectrums that range from 6Hz to 38GHz.
CEO and president of Ceragon, Ira Palti, stated that the company is proud to be lending its global solutions to Hutchinson which she defined as ‘one of the world’s leading operators.”
Palti continued to say that its solutions are tailored to address the support demands of migrating from TDM and IP at little cost and future cost reductions.
Tata Teleservice which is located in India has also asked Ceragon to provide the IP FIbeAir solution to aid it in expanding the GSM mobile network throughout seven new communication areas.
